Worn out PTO brake shoe.

Mama Deere say NLA on Flat Fender PTO brake shoes. Has anyone addressed this issue and found resolve? Will a 200 series show work? I've thought of cutting out a section of a worn disc brake pad and riveting it in place. Anyone??? J.

Correct me if I'm wrong John, but I'm almost 100% sure that the 110/112 brake shoe was the same as the ones used on the 60/70 lawn tractors. There may or may not be one or two listed on eBay right now. If so, you could compare the one that you have to the auction one, just to see it they are the same. I'm pretty sure they are though. I did an eBay search last night for a couple of things, and found an auction that had miscellaneous pieces of a flat fender 110, and one of the items was a brake shoe. I didn't think to write the auction number down for you though John. Sorry buddy.

No solution yet. I'm contemplating trying the one from the 200. I've viewed a couple on eBay listed for 200s, of which the bracket appears formed different. The part numbers didn't match on the JD parts site either. I found the listing Troy spoke of as well. J.

Yes I missed that ,sorry. I agree that seems way excessive. It seems a lot of people have great prices on parts but sock it to you in shipping. It just doesn't seem right.

John, have you tried contacting the seller, and asking him if you can use the buy-it-now price for just the brake shoe? I've done that numerous times already. He can still relist the other items and get the buy-it-now price that he has listed. Might be worth a shot, and if it works out, should save some money on shipping since you're only buying the shoe that weighs almost nothing.
