Looks to be in good shape with a few bonus pieces like the headlight panel and hubcaps. Looks like they can be cleaned up with a little effort. Seat even looks good and not covered in duct tape. Great score!
I think it will be a survivor. The paint is original and exceptional. Its missing a few pieces, grille, muffler, PTO cover, but appears to have been cared for. Blower shroud is off but was included. I'm told the engine had no spark, according to the neighbors uncle's brother in law cousins granddaddy's friends mechanic . Smh. Lol. J.
Looks nice John. Great score! The missing pieces should be easy to find on eBay with a little patience. Can't wait to see it all cleaned and polished. One suggestion to you if I might do so, and that is, please don't use a steel wool pad on the hubcaps. I see so many guys using them to try and remove any surface rust, and all they accomplish is scratching the finish. Try using some standard household toothpaste or a majik eraser on them first to see how much comes off, and then go from there with a good chrome polish. Congrats on the new find my Friend!
A little progress on the 110. Put tubes in all 4 tyres and cleaned them.....new Deka battery..... Freebie JD battery cover/clamp...... set of Genuine Niehoff NOS American made breaker points solved the "no Far" problem..... Carb in the vat soaking.....gas tank soaking in white vinegar.........now waiting for water hose to thaw out for light pressure washing of cooling fins on the little Peepy Popper K181. It sure looks puny in the bigger frame. J.
