Swapped engines on a 67 112 w/starter generator. The engine i pulled was the old style solid state with the points. The engine going in was wired up for a battery ignition. They had a separate on off switch with that one. All i wanted to do is get rid of the separate switch and just use ignition switch. I bought the correct switch for battery ignition and installed it. When i have everything hooked up except the b terminal it cranks over, but no spark. I put a wire on the b terminal from solenoid and it doesn't crank. The kicker is i have 12 v at coil now but won't crank over. Pull the b terminal and i loose my voyage at coil and it cranks over. Im missing something but can't figure it out. Next thing i want to do is test switch. Any input on this guys would be appreciated.

Hmmmm……. Very strange Craig
Dealing with issue myself. Was cutting grass with the 314 was running
well. Neighbor came out to talk to me I idled her down she complained ,spit , whined , shut down and that was it. Glad the pressure release worked for the hydro had to use the 210 to bring her home.
Good luck with your gremlin maybe we will both get lucky and it’s something simple.
