Found a JD model 15 plow. It appears to have little use looking at the tip of the plow and the coulter. Sadly it was stored outside so it has a lot of light surface rust and not much green still on it. On the bright side, the coulter spins freely. Made the 1 hr 28 minute drive there handed the gentleman $150 😁 and loaded it up.

I have to wait for the beans to come off behind the house so I can turn some dirt. 😁
I was looking for a plow day for this fall or next spring but haven’t been able to find any around mid-Michigan.

Do any of you know where I could get a decal kit for the model 15?
Obsolete at mother Deere, and Hapco does not have them either.

Most sign shops or truck lettering companies can make decals. You would need a good example and measurements for them to duplicate off of though.

I contacted a local sign shop today. I am taking measurements and pictures to them later this week.
The only somewhat tricky one is the “John Deere”, with the end of it being smudged a bit. Up close I can see the end of the decal at the top corner so I have the overall length. I’m sure the computer can put the “J” on there and space it accordingly.

I made a couple of “test” passes in the bean field today. I think that I was going to slow to start with as the dirt was not rolling all the way over and filling the furrow.

Then I plowed my neighbors garden under. With a little more ground speed it worked great.

Hapco appreciates good photos and measurements. I sent them what I had, and now they sell the decals for the Model 36 snowthrower.

I may reach out to them and see if they are interested in the decal info.
