I just inherited a round fender John Deere 110 tractor. I plan on fixing it up and eventually restoring it. I've been doing a bit of research on the Serial Number and came to the conclusion that this was the 3rd tractor produced for the 1966 model year. I just want to confirm that my assumptions are correct in this.

The serial number reads:
SNT10 040003M

Your tractor is a 1964 . Try tractordata they have the list of serial numbers . We also have a resident expert on all things round fender. Went by Elfman originally

My serial number is 40003, wouldn't that be a 1966?

Very nice! Yes you are correct that is the 3rd 110 off the line for the ‘66 model year, although I’m sure it was built in the calendar year of ‘65. Another neat thing is that the tag is not stamped with a type code. Do you have any more pictures of it? Thank you for sharing!
