Can anyone tell me how to shut off the back PTO. The others come on and off using the switch but not the back one.

Don't know anything about them. the big tractors usually have a pto lever with the gear shifters. is there a lever near the transmission anywhere?

If the 420 is like a 520 then there is a lever on the right side of the seat. Lift it to engage it and push it down to stop PTO. There is also a handle to engage the PTO next to the gear shift cage. Tractor must be off to engage the gear.
