Here is a place to post your other brand restorations or tractor collection pieces.
Ok I'll stir things up a bit with a couple pics of my beater 1963 cub 70 that I bought 4 years ago for $75.
I bought this tractor years ago for 50 bucks with a snow blower on front. The fender was red the engine shroud is blue and over all it was ugly. But it ran good so it deserved a chance. Painted the fender deck, replaced the office chair seat it had on it, and traded the snowblower for a mower deck. Used it a few times but really wasn't in love with it like a was my JDs.
Untill a friend of mine, who wouldn't own anything but cadets, was looking for a garden tractor to mow his yard with at his new house. I figured I would just give it to him because he got me alot of parts while I was fixing it up. To make a long story short he found another tractor didn't need mine and it's mine again lol. But it returned in worst shape then when I gave it to him.
You've got some work in front of you.
Is that a 149? Good luck bringing it back into good running condition, i have 1 cub in my heard its a good hard working tractor very crude compared to my deeres' but I still love using it.
Yep 149. Thought I might look for a snowblade for it with hydraulic lift that might be nice to use. My friend worked at a CC dealer and I thought he would have taken over maintaining it. But in 3 years of having it i guess he got tired off fixing it lol
Gonna pull with it?
Hahaha no more pulling tractors. One cub cadet pulling tractor is enough. Even though they do have the hydro class now.
Do you pull?
Yeah I've been pulling garden tractors for about tens years on and off.
Cool, getting into it with my daughters this year
Nice do you know what tractor your going to be using
A JD 210, just the youth stock class to start.
Here's my latest odd one out a Gravely 432 commercial with a deck a plow I picked up from a fellow member I've only changed a couple things to make it easier on my back to plow but nothing that I can't remove to make it stock. One up grade was the Sylvania silver star bulbs an the next was my high back jd seat.
Wow those headlights look bright in the pic.
The red handle on the right is that for angling the blade from the seat?
Yes it is , it helps make it even easier to plow the Ford plow is the same way
I'm hoping the headlights work like I think they will I haven't had it out at night yet.
Well since these were taking I built a grill an bought a battery door for it an yesterday I gave it a good cleaning while I waited to to.apply more jb weld to the tank.
Picked up a cub 106 at an auction yesterday. Wasn't actually interested in buying so i didn't look it over real well but i can sell the rear lift for what i paid for it. Planning on making this a working tractor for plowing snow and dirt.As of now it's not running battery is shot. hopefully some time this week i can put a battery in it and see what happens.I already pulled the front wheels off and swapped for the correct one. The ones that were on it the hub bearing i.d was bigger than spindle. It was very sad looking.I didn't get any before pictures with wrong wheels
Wow some people have all of the luck.
