Anyone of you JD guys know the Correct engine and spec number for the little JD 70 lawn tractors?

I think it was a VH60 Tecumseh but unsure of the spec# they used in them

Weren't they the Tecumseh VH70 and the 60's had the VH60?

On my '73 70 Brian, the tag reads: VH70 135008A Serial Number: 4009D
On my '67 60, the tag reads: VH60 10000D (Forgot to get the serial number)

Making some rebuild kits for these engines??? I hope so, and please let me be your 1st customer!

Well, I'll have (2) VH60's and (2) VH70's eventually to rebuild. May not be for a couple of years until I get around to that point, but someday!
