I have a nice 1970 John Deere 112 with a Tecumseh HH 100. No spark and I suspect the SSI ignition is bad. I know I could replace it with the HET unit from overnight solutions. This solution will cost around $158 and I'll still have a Tecumseh (with notorious carb problems). I would rather have a Kohler any day. I have located a 212 complete tractor for $150 with a good Kohler K301. I know this is a battery ignition and I will need the starter switch and change a little wiring. Who has done this swap or knows in detail the frame differences? I'm just wondering what and how much modification is needed to drop the K301 in my 112?Thanks!Michael
