My 4300 is leaking hydrostatic fluid into the left rear wheel rim. I only noticed this because it eventually leaks enough to overflow the rim and dribble down the side of the tire and onto the concrete barn floor. Anyone know if this is a just a seal that has gone bad that I can replace myself? Bought this tractor new 20 years ago and this is the first time I've had any trouble that I couldn't fix right away.

I think welding needs to be done. But maybe there is another solution.

Hi, why welding? I don't believe anything is broken... just a worn seal.

Peter, I’m not sure what that was about. Sounds to me like a worn axle seal.

Did you see if there are any holes? I said source because I thought it might be so.
