Well once again kyle has beat me on lol So in that event I'll update everyone on our current weather conditions, an I think it'll be fun to see what everyone weather is( yes I borrowed this from another forum). So currently in ny is a cool 6° with a high around 22°today so I'm not getting shop time today.
Last Sunday I fired up my 110 for the first time since last December. As I have already posted I was impressed with how fast it started. All I did with it was back it out of the shed turn around and back it back in the shed and remove the tiller. Today after work I started it up and headed towards the barn, the variator was in the slowest notch so I started to ease it forward and the tractor actually started to slow down and I could smell the belt.
I had the clutch/brake/variator properly adjusted via the service manual and it worked perfectly all of last summer.
So, I am sure it is a variator issue but what could have happened to it while in hibernation?
I would appreciate your input.
Didn’t manage to get as far as I wanted on my 212 service this weekend, but did get the oil changed and the snow gear striped off. Probably will throw the deck on so I can cut the weeds in the next week or so. Transmission gear oil and drive belts will have to wait for now…
Friday I spot mowed a couple of spots in my yard with my 60 that were way over due. The rest will be ready in a week or so. I’ve got lots of sticks to clean up be fore that. I really need to get my 112 repaired. It’s to much of a pain to either mow 3 acres with a 60, or swap the tiller and deck back and forth on the RF. Yes, I’ve been spoiled with multiple tractors.
Tilled another spot beside the garden for the wife’s sunflower patch. Touched up some spots on the main garden last night. The old boy looked pretty good, so I had to snap a picture.
Beautiful morning here in SE PA. Got the lawn mowed last night so I guess I should do some other yard chores before the server weather comes in tonight.
212 has jumped right into mowing duty after being on standby all winter with no snow. Doing double duty for a bit as I’m helping a neighbor and her family keep the lawn under control while they sell the house. Her yard has a much better stand of grass than my crop of weeds! Had to crawl around in 1st in some areas! Probably should have started with the deck higher….
Enjoy the day and be safe if these storms on the east coast come knocking in your neighborhood!
We got just over an inch of rain yesterday, and I believe the first half inch fell in a 20 minute period. We needed it though. We had a little bit of wind, and then just a nice rain.
We ended up with about an inch of rain. Just lost a couple of dead limbs out of one of the trees so really can’t complain.
212 got a good workout Sunday afternoon. Noticed that a neighbor’s lawn was getting crazy long. Touched base and found out his “Cub Cadet” (newer MTD) went up in smoke last fall and he hasn’t replaced it or made other arrangements yet so I offered to take a bit off the top. Got to keep the neighborhood looking good. 😎 Next time I told him I was going to bring a baler!
I told him that I knew a guy with a Deere similar to mine for sale, but sounds as if he’s either going to a small zero turn or a landscaper…. Lots of stuff to cut around in the back…
Im still alive everyone been busy trying to get the garage in order to start rebuilds on a few of mine an a couple of a friends, with luck today after work ill be heading to the loyal stock show for something to do im not taking anything though
