Hello all, I have apparently relapsed and have now fallen back into the addiction of my John Deere 110. Does anyone know of JD anonymous I could possibly attend? Haha.

OK! Here’s the real question. I was thinking about converting my ‘67 110 RF to hydraulic lift. Is this something anyone has done before? If so, what parts are necessary to change, and is it all bolt on type stuff?

I would assume this is heavily frowned upon in terms of maintaining the originality of the machine...

Part of me wishes I never painted this machine. I am still afraid to use it! Haha.

I’m hoping thanksgiving was good to everyone and all is well with you guys!

Looking forward to your responses!
If anyone has pictures of the hydraulic setup (where the cylinder mounts, and where lines are routed) can you post them?

Everything is bolt on and easily installed if you can find all of the pieces and not have to pay an arm and a leg for them
Its yours make it how YOU want it. If you take your time and do not rush thru it I am sure the new paint will be just fine. Walk away when it fights back.
Good luck and welcome back a doctor will be with you shortly!!!

The JD service manual has a great section on the hydraulic lift with good photos, maintenance, and adjustments, which I'm sure will be a great reference if you get a copy of that. Sounds like you're already on the right track on parts and what you'll need. Should be a fairly straightforward conversion. Don't worry about it changing the originality of the machine. Like Kyle says, it's your machine, enjoy it and equip it the way you like it. You're using original JD parts too which we know your 110 will feel comfortable with. I agree with the others on not being afraid to use your 110, touch ups are easy to do and parts can always be repainted if necessary. I've found it pretty easy to keep my fully restored 110 looking new even though I mowed my lawn more than 40 times with it this year. It's still not had a drop of water sprayed on it from a hose. I just dust it off with compressed air and wipe it down carefully a micro fiber cloth when I'm done. I'll have to admit that I do baby it too much but I'm trying to keep it looking new as long as I can. It's still looking great and I'm Really Loving the seat time on it. I'm sure you'll do fine on your hydraulic lift conversion, just take your time and I'm sure our guys that have one will be happy to guide you along the way. Keep us updated and yes, photos are always much appreciated.
