How hard is it to switch out a transmission/transaxle on a 212?

Have a lead on a 212 from CL that the seller indicates was running fine mowing the yard and that the transmission went. Photos look decent and the deck looks clean (which is really what I'm hunting). I have a parts 216 that as far as I know the transmission is good on. How difficult is it to switch out the entire rear end on one of these tractors?

It's not bad at all. Pull the fender pan, remove the drive belt, disconnect the break, then there I think there is 5 bolts holding it in, or you can remove it attached to the hitch plate.

Thank you Chaser! That's just what I was hoping someone would say... Hopefully I can get this snatched up and on the trailer before someone else on here does. :)

Yeah piece of cake. Did one about three weeks ago in about an hour and a half including oil change.

Thank you for the time goal Don! I picked her up tonight. The deck is the best one I’ve seen yet. Hopefully I can switch out the transaxle between tomorrow night and Saturday and be mowing with it this weekend. If I run into trouble I can always slide this deck under my current runner!
Now I’m going to need a bigger trailer for the Father’s Day gathering...
