The PTO cable has failed twice in a week at the spring end on the mower deck. It holds onto the spring with a plug at the end of the cable. The plug has let go twice, as I said, in a week.I replaced it once ,but now it has happened again! somethings up. I have had the tractor for 5 years with no trouble like this.

Sounds like something is getting tight. Might need taken apart and freed up.
