Hey guys I’m trying to do a compression check on my 1973 John Deere 110, and can’t seem to get it to read more than about 65 PSI. The engine is strong, runs smooth and doesn’t smoke or knock, I can’t believe the compression is really that low. When I did the check I had the throttle open choke open and air cleaner off, Am I missing something that I should be doing? Thanks for any help

They do have an internal compression release. If it runs good I’d leave it alone.
I’d just reseat the valves put on a new head gasket and spark plug and run it.
