I found a picture of your 112 John, and I don't see the engine drive pulley for this PTO unit, unless you found one and installed it after the picture was taken. If you change your mind about a reproduction pulley, don't hesitate to say so, and I'll see about getting you one.

That's the actually engine pulley, however there should be a smaller pulley that slides into the end of that pulley. If you choose to use the engine drive pulley, I'm pretty sure your shaft on the pto unit won't be turning the revolutions that it was designed to turn.

As for your engine drive pulley, is it the double pulley or the single pulley? 110's should have a single pulley, and the 112's should have a double pulley. Here are pictures of the intermediate drives for the mower decks. Again, single pullied for the 110's and double pullied for the 112. I see only one belt in your picture, and I believe you have the wrong engine pulley on your tractor.

The diameter of the 540 pto pulley is smaller than the diameter of the engine drive pulley. I can't remember off hand what the pto pulley diameter is right now, but something tells me, when the pto pulley is slide into the engine drive pulley, you can see about a 1/2" of engine drive pulley around the perimeter of the pto pulley. My guy didn't have any troubles making the pto pulley, however it did take a couple tries getting the angle cut right for the belt depth and sizing. If I remember correctly, I think I was selling them for $25.00 each including the locking pin.
