I just purchased a older(1975) JD lawn tractor Model C100d and the number on id plate is C100D stock number 4141 and the other number on the plate is 03665m. I plan on restoring this tractor but now the engine has no compression after removing spark plug and turning over the engine there is no compression I think the engine may need overhaul or replacement,I feel cost wise a replacement may be my better route.Are there currently B&S engines that will bolt up to this or would a overhaul be less money.I would perfer a new engine and I see they are around 200 bucks.
