I believe I've got a rear I'd part with.
Thank you @Chaser I'll keep that in mind.

Sounds like one of the forks is damaged. R, 1, and 2 use one and 3 and 4 use another.
Good to know @MiniHomesteader. Is it safe to say that the only way to know for sure is to open it up?

At this point I'm probably going to keep my powder dry and see if they publicly drop the price. Then again I could always make a low offer...

I think you can pull the shift tower off and get an idea if one fork is more loose than the other.

Thanks @MiniHomesteader. I'll have to check that out on the parts transaxle that I have.

Thinking a bit more about this I do have a line on another 212 that has a good transmission and a nice set of wheel weights that I might be able to get a deal on... Only problem would be finding a place to stash a second parts tractor...
