Well guess what I did last night boys.
Went and brought home a 316! Not sure of the year yet, but its got an Onan. I'll get better pics this evening.
Pretty excited, been wanting one of these for a while.

Did some upgrades to the 316 over the past week. Did the Onan starter relay, and upgraded the brakes to the dual steering brakes thanks to some parts purchased from Don. Also upgraded to an H2 with parts off a 318 I got from Ebay. This was not the direct swap I thought it was going to be! What a pain!
Now I've got 2 levers and 2 pedals.
Next is to paint the fender pan a d new shoes.

So I had to replace the deck drive belt the other week. Figured since I was ordering I got some accessories as well. Added the ol "suicide" steering knob, and a handle to the fender since my yard has some

Safety first. Those steering knobs are the best especially when doing snow.
Yup we are getting older when we start thinking about things like that to help us feel safer in the seat. Nice addition!

Got the 316 serviced and tucked in for winter last night. Question for you fellow 300 series guys, is there really only 1 bolt that holds the side panels on?

Some have one, others two, and also four, I think it depends on the model and the years.

Hey boys! Aint posted much lately, been super busy! But I did get new shoes on the 316. Had a pair of fronts in the shed so that saved some cash. Went with 24x12x12 Ags for the rear. Got the yard mowed for the first time this year.

Well embarrassing story...
I bought these off Amazon
AutoForever 24x12.00-12 Lawn Tractor Tires 24X12.00X12 Turf Mower Golf Cart Tubeless Tires, 6 Ply Max Load 2270Lbs Set of 2 https://a.co/d/34qTDIL

But ended up ruining the bead on one trying to mount it... I couldn't find a single tire to replace it so I ended up getting a Kenda from Simple tire.
